Neuroscientist to Explore Psychology of Project Management

Webinar with Dr. Rex Jung to discuss ‘Fast’ and ‘Slow’ Thinking in Project Management

Sensei Labs, developers of the award-winning SenseiOS™ Conductor project orchestration platform, is hosting a special project management webinar with Neuroscientist Dr. Rex Jung to discuss the implications of tapping into gut feel/human instinct and the psychological benefits of using both ‘fast’ and ‘slow’ thinking to best orchestrate complex workflow.

WHY:

Organizations are starting to use intuitive project management platforms that codify team members’ qualitative insights and pair them with ambient quantitative data. Traditional ‘command-and-control’ project management tools only measure, project milestones, financials, and other hard data and are not keeping pace with the digital workplace. According to the Project Management Institute’s 2017 global project management survey, an average of US$97 million is wasted for every US$1 billion invested in project management.

WHO:

  • Rex Jung, Ph.D. is a clinical professor of neurosurgery at the University of New Mexico, a research scientist at the Mind Research Network, and a practicing clinical neuropsychologist in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He studies both brain disease and what the brain does well—a field of research known as “positive neuroscience.” His research has explored the functioning of intelligence, creativity, and cognitive abilities in health and disease.
  • Jay Goldman is co-founder and managing director of Sensei Labs and the co-author of the New York Times bestseller THE DECODED COMPANY: Know Your Talent Better Than You Know Your Customers (Portfolio/Penguin). With almost 20 years of experience leveraging technology to help build cultures of human achievement, Jay has spoken about the “Future of Work” at NASA, Harvard Business School, TEDx, Google, and Twitter and has been published in the Harvard Business Review.

About Sensei Labs

Rethinking the technology of management, Sensei Labs builds smarter, more intuitive workplace solutions to help rapidly growing companies execute and evolve faster in a way their people love. Powered by data and grounded in experience, the SenseiOS family of work apps are designed to engage people while helping them to communicate, orchestrate work, and make better decisions.

The Sensei Labs story started over a decade ago when Klick, its parent company, banned internal task-related email and developed a new kind of operating system that reengineered how individuals, teams, and companies get work done. After receiving global recognition from some of the leading thinkers in management innovation and technology – and inspiring Klick to write the New York Times bestseller THE DECODED COMPANY Know Your Talent Better Than You Know Your Customers (Portfolio/Penguin) – the system was commercialized as SenseiOS™ and is now being used by hyper-growth companies around the world. The company has consistently been named a Great Place to Work, Best Workplace for Women, Best Employer, Fastest Growing Technology Company, and Best Managed Company.
